SATURDAY & SUNDAY!

SATURDAY & SUNDAY! On behalf of the TUST board, our members and fans generally, we congratulate all concerned with making Saturday a fantastic experience and one that will go down in Gulls’ history as a memorable day.

Of course the result helped and the exciting game of football that led to it but regardless of that the way the day was professionally planned and managed was a credit to the Club. The decision to relax the enforcement of the face covering requirement really helped to create the loud, inspiring support that Gary had requested and the idea of the clappy hands was truly inspired! This, together with the drummers, enabled the 1700 fans to sound like a capacity crowd. Our thanks have been conveyed to the directors and staff.

We now look ahead to Sunday’s final. We have no doubt that tickets for this will sell out quickly, even at what appears to be a high price of £41 plus booking fee with no concessions.

Given the level of interest in this game and the fact that some supporters, families in particular, will not be able to afford to go to Bristol, we have asked the Club to consider whether showing the match on a big screen inside Plainmoor is viable. We appreciate the costs involved in this and technical challenges but if it could be achieved with tickets sold at, say, £5-£10 and fans encouraged to bring a picnic and make an afternoon of it, we are sure this would be welcomed by those unable to attend Ashton Gate.

We send everybody at the Club our best wishes for the final hurdle on Sunday.
