BOXING DAY TICKET ARRANGEMENTS

TUST CALLS FOR A RE-THINK

The club have announced that all tickets for the game against Yeovil Town on Boxing Day have to be purchased in advance and will be sent via e-mail to be printed or downloaded to a phone.

Whilst it is disappointing that tickets cannot be bought on the day for what is a fixture that traditionally attracts a lot of casual supporters, of even more concern is the fact that tickets won't be available for those who are not IT savvy and specifically 'there will be no option to collect tickets from the stadium on the matchday.' This policy may discriminate against those fans, many of which are among the club's longest standing and most loyal followers.

TUST has today written to the Club as follows:

On behalf of the many loyal Torquay United supporters who will be unable to print or receive their tickets digitally, TUST asks the club to reconsider its new ticketing policy for the Boxing Day fixture with Yeovil Town as a matter of urgency. No ticket sales on the day is one thing but no actual tickets other than via digital technology is unacceptable and discriminates against many who may wish to attend but will now decide not to do so. Can the Club really afford to turn such customers away?'

We will, of course, advise you of any response we receive.
