HIGH FIVES AS UNITED’S UNBEATEN RUN CONTINUES AFTER TWO EARLY CHRISTMAS CRACKERS
CHECK OUT THE NATIONAL SOUTH NOMINATIONS FOR NOVEMBER
WHAT MUSIC TO ENJOY WHILE DRINKING IN THE STANDS?
A fifth win on the spin, a first win at Chelmsford and two strikes which should be ‘Goal of the Season’ contenders taking United to joint top of National South from Exeter loanee Keiran Wilson and free kick specialist Jordan Young.
Mind you with Hornchurch winning 4-0 on Tuesday night at Hemel, wiping out that 5-0 thrashing at Worthing on the previous Saturday, they reclaimed that top spot.
But as Paul Wotton says it’s where you finish after the last game of the season – ironically against Tonbridge Angels, today’s opponents, at the end of April.
So, despite a tough few weeks, mainly dealing with off the field issues, the squad have shown their best qualities.

With continuing good home form and now three consecutive away victories, it’s no surprise that United have a number of nominations for the National League South awards for November.
In the manager category there are four nominations:
Worthing’s Adam Hinshelwood P7 W6 D0 L1, Paul Wotton P7 W5 D0 L2, Jake Leberl (Dover) P5 W4 D1 L0 and Lee Bradbury (Dagenham & Redbridge) P7 W5 D2 L0.
From a Torquay perspective it’s even better news in the player category: Worthing’s Brad Dolaghan eleven goals in 7 games, Dagenham’s Andy Carroll 5 goals plus two assists and United’s twin strike force of Louis Dennis 5 goals plus one assist and Jordan Young 4 goals and two assists.
Three of these players notched hat-tricks: Dennis (v Eastbourne) and Dolaghan and Carroll who both scored three each against AFC Totton.
The Enterprise National League selection panel is DAZN National League pundit Aaron Mclean, Matt Badcock Editor of the Non-League Paper and guys from the NL FullTime podcast.

United’s Women, celebrating Danni Wyatt’s award, had a comfortable 5-0 league win over Frampton at Coach Road with a Beth Everson hat-trick plus goals from Mollie Taylor and Tee Kaptein.
That win moves them within six points of league leaders AEK Boco but with four games in hand and one of these is this Sunday with a trip to Bishops Lydeard (2pm).
And congratulations to United fan Kirsty Jarvis who has been appointed as the club’s Her Game Too Ambassador taking over from Danni Wyatt.

At today’s match against Tonbridge, after consultation with the local Safety Advisory Group, fans will be allowed to drink in the stands on a trial basis.
If you have any views about this after the match you can send them to: fanszone.tu@gmail.com. and the TUST board will consider them at our meeting on Monday evening.
A couple of weeks ago I started a vote on United’s run-out music and from entries so far it’s pretty close between ‘A Banda’ and ‘Children’, you can still send your vote to the above email address.
Still looking for a Christmas present? Why not buy/ask for a TUST branded VX3 piece of kit? You can see the choices at Torquay United Supporters Trust – VX3.
